Steve has been involved in the roofing industry under the Upson family name since 1975, although the current corporate structure of today’s Upson Company originated more recently in 1992. Over a lifetime of involvement, Steve's job descriptions have run the gamut from laborer, to field supervisor, to sales, to management…and many experiences in between. As company president, he remains active in sales and estimating while keeping an eye toward the growth and development of the company and employees.

Jason brings more than 14 years of experience to the Upson Company management team. His career began in the field with hands-on experience as a project foreman and has spanned a broad range of projects. As Production Manager, Jason provides estimating expertise and project supervision, and he is noted for taking an active interest in the personal and professional development of each Upson Company employee.
Outside of the office, Jason spends much of his time hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. As a husband and father of two children, Jason has a full calendar of activities. In fact, he has recently even become a card-carrying Girl Scout member in order to participate in activities with his daughter! He is also a fish and game volunteer, a native Idahoan, U of I alumnus, and has a black belt in judo. Shake hands with him and you will notice that he has not escape the hazards of his trade unscathed…but having a few missing digits could be an excuse for his golf swing!
Jason enjoys working for a small company that is family oriented, and says that "great co-workers and a family atmosphere" are two of the key elements that make Upson Company a great place to work.

Justin has been with Upson Company full-time since 1994 and has a wide range of experience with many types of roof systems. Recently he has taken on a key role in the development of the repair and maintenance division helping many local businesses find immediate repair solutions, implement long-term roof maintenance programs, and plan for success.

Melissa joined Upson Company in February 2008 and has quickly become a very valuable part of our team. She is constantly on the run, and is very efficient at keeping up with the many demands of a busy office. Melissa enjoys spending time with family and is rumored to be quite a fan of Texas Hold 'em.

Amy has been with Upson Company since spring of 2005. She is now in charge of evaluating and developing operating procedures, and also handles marketing & IT for the company. She comes from a diverse background, including a banking and experience in the non-profit world, and is finding the roofing industry to be a unique and refreshing experience.

Denise started with Upson Company in the spring of 2008 and is doing a great job of keeping us all in order. She is very organized and dedicated to her job and has fit in easily with the Upson team! Outside of the office, Denise enjoys all sorts of outdoor pursuits - hiking, camping, motorsports, etc. - and spending time with her puppies, Silas & Janie, who have hiked many miles with her. She has strong home and family ties and loves home improvement projects and family gatherings. After playing her first round of golf at our company golf tournament this year, Denise is also ready to take that up as a new hobby. Perhaps the "Ladies' Longest Drive" contest will have a new winner for 2009!

Hilary started with Upson Company in June as a temporary employee hired to cover vacation time, but quickly proved that she would be an asset to our team as a full-time employee! She does a great job keeping the Maintenance and Repair division running smoothly. Hilary is also an excellent baker, which is great for morale, but not so great for the waistlines of her coworkers!

After 22 years of experience as a human resource professional in a corporate setting, Kerry brings a wealth of expertise to the Upson Company management team. Since joining Upson Company in 2002, she has worked to build the company workforce and has been instrumental in building and implementing in-house apprenticeship and training programs.
