Jason has worked in many capacities in the 23 years he has been with the company. Starting in the trenches as an apprentice, Jason worked his way into a foreman’s position. After a 5 year stint as a foreman, Jason earned his opportunity and moved into the production manager position in the Commercial division. As a Production manager he oversaw many aspects of the business on the operations side. Nowadays Jason’s roles and responsibilities look a little different as he manages the Operations for the company. Some of his duties currently include – safety management, sales and estimating, helping Tom manage production, and hiring. He enjoys working, hunting, fishing, and most importantly spending time with his family.

Justin Barker has worked full time for Upsons for 30 years. He started on the roof as a foreman in 1994 and is now President of Sales. Justin works with building owners, Property Managers, asset managers, and Brokers to manage their portfolios with customized Maintenance plans. After a hard days work, Justin likes to spend time in the outdoors with his wife and twin daughters.

Jason B. has been with Upson Company for 23 years. As one of our full-time Commercial Estimators, Jason meets with customers to review plans and specifications for projects, as well as prepares budgets, cost estimates, and timelines. He also procures any materials needed for the projects at hand. When not at work, Jason enjoys outdoor activities.

Jason has been with Upson Company for 20 years and performed various roles in the company. Currently, Jason is the Service Account Manager, building trust with clients and making sure they are satisfied with our service, as well as helping customers to protect their assets. Outside of work Jason enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with family.

Tommy has worked for Upson Company since 2008, working his way up to his current role as Production Manager. As Production Manager, Tommy manages all production aspects, overseeing scheduling and manpower, prioritizing worksite and employee safety, and ensuring quality control over all elements of production. Outside of work, Tommy enjoys golfing, racing, fishing, and hot rods.

Jason joined Upson Company as the Controller in 2024 with over 25 years of experience in industries including manufacturing, software, construction, service, and biotech, with positions ranging from Junior Accountant to CFO. Jason is responsible for tasks like financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and project reviews, as well as managing relationships with key stakeholders and various professional services. Jason also oversees accounting, payroll, 401k, tax compliance, assets, IT, and HR. Outside of work, Jason enjoys skiing, hiking, attending outdoor music festivals, motorcycle riding, and reading.

Terri has been with Upson Company since 2008 and currently is the Client Service Specialist for our Maintenance and Repair division. In this role, Terri helps dispatch and coordinate work for our foreman to satisfy our customers. Terri’s hobbies include reading, painting, ranching, hunting, fishing, golf, and participating in charity 5-10K walks.

Jeff “JC” has been with Upson Company for just over 9 years and is currently in the role of Field Supervisor. In this role, JC is responsible for commercial production, setting and meeting goals with the foremen, scheduling manpower, and keeping safety a top priority. JC’s hobbies include hunting and fishing.

Jennifer has worked for Upson Company since 2019 is currently in the role of Senior Accountant. In this role, Jennifer helps manage all things payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Jennifer also supports many areas of the business outside of accounting with her strong company knowledge. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys camping and hanging out with friends.

Stephanie’s hobbies include baking, camping with her husband and 2 daughters, fishing, and family time.

Malyn has worked for Upson Company since 2025 as a Project Engineer. In her role, she works closely with foremen, manufacturers, and general contractors to facilitate smooth project execution, ensuring her projects meet the required quality standards, building codes and regulations. In addition to creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and other essential project-related communications, she also contributes to project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to guarantee projects stay on time and within budget. Malyn’s hobbies include enjoying the great outdoors, horticulture, and spending time with loved ones and her two darling dogs.

Kerry has worked for Upson Company since 2020 and is currently in the role of Billing Specialist. Kerry manages billing and collections, putting together warranty packages, and putting together bid invites for the sales team. Kerry and her husband have 4 children, and she enjoys going camping, spending time with family, reading, watching movies and watching MLB games.

Kylee joined Upson Company in 2023 as a Billing Specialist in the Maintenance division. In her role, Kylee manages the maintenance billing, assisting the salesmen and the entire maintenance team. In addition, she helps direct incoming calls and updates the company’s social media presence. Outside of work, Kylee likes spending time with family, traveling, and doing anything outdoors.

Keeping the shops organized and controlling the fabrication of materials for our current and future jobs is just a few of the many things Cameron does daily. At home, Cameron keeps at his fun; welding, fabrication, and tinkering with anything he can get his hands on!

It is with great sadness that our original founder of Upson Company, Mr. Steven Upson passed away June 23, 2023, at home with his family.

Steve Upson founded Upson Company in 1975 with a dream of providing quality roofing to the Treasure Valley. In 1978, it became a family dream when he brought in Jimmy and Randy Upson to help grow his vision.

By 2001, he had been in business for 27 years and had completed over 5,000 projects. He had also implemented a registered Apprentice Program, as he preferred to promote from within. The success and growth of his employees was a top priority.

In 2018, Steve was finally ready to retire and spend time with his family enjoying all his many other hobbies, including crafting homemade wines and golfing. He left his company in the very capable hands of Jason Webster and Justin Barker, who had the honor and privilege of working together with Steve as previous partners and owners for several years as he was able to transition into his full retirement in 2021.

Steve was a very strong minded and determined man that led with a strong emphasis on great customer service. He believed in taking care of his employees and their families. We have all benefited from his original vision of what he started in 1975. He was proud of all our efforts that helped to make his vision become a reality.

Thank you, Steve, for giving all of us the opportunity to be part of the Upson Family. Your legacy will live on in every project we do. You changed an industry and will be dearly missed.
